A Phase-Based Roadmap for Proliferating BIM within the Construction Sector Using DEMATEL Technique: Perspectives from Egyptian Practitioners

Building Information Modelling (BIM) has not been sufficiently proliferated in the developing construction communities. This is owing to lack of incorporating key success factors (KSFs) BIM implementation a phase-based roadmap support implementing practice on step-by-step approach. With this mind, work aims at (1) defining KSFs for within economies’ socio-economic environment, (2) investigating interrelationships among KSFs, and (3) establishing phased approach devise their basis. First, 18 have specified by systematically pertinent literature interviewing six well-qualified practitioners from Egypt, as country. Second, ten Egyptian experts, data influences each other gathered, employing matrix format-based questionnaire. Third, experts’ evaluations processed, utilizing Decision-Making Trial Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) technique. Proficiently, DEMATEL through its causal diagram portrayed cause-and-effect relations map KSFs. Besides, it divided into four clusters, which signifies phase journey along with corresponding priority well priorities that encompasses. The indicated one related journey: research development investments, senior management support, firm’s fiscal contribute whole developed roadmap. study equips economies four-phased applying contribution helps better prioritizing decisions optimizing allocation resources when business. Hence, fast pace, can be those countries.
